An Educational and Hands-On, 1-day course of intermediate river and flood rescue Skills, Strategy and Tactics involving Shore Based rescue techniques, Throw Bag Techniques, Rope Rigging Systems and Rescue Watercraft Awareness for Emergency Service and Public Safety personnel. This “industry standard” certified course meets NFPA 1670 “Operations Level” certification. **Students will receive the CSFM Water Rescue Awareness-Operational” certification, (8 Instructional Hrs.).
Student Requirements
Students must be 18 years old and have a moderate swimming ability to face challenging situations in dynamic water.
No pre-requisite course is required. Although it’s helpful to have a basic understanding of knots, anchors, and mechanical advantage.
